The UW Information Technology Academy: Internship Coordinator:?The UW Information Technology Academy, a pre-college program serving diverse high school students in the Madison area is now hiring an Academic Support Specialist - Internship Coordinator.?This position assumes responsibility for: coordination, maintenance, and enhancement of the ITA Internship & Job Skills Program; case management of approximately 60 students enrolled in the program; planning and teaching the 10th grade Leadership curriculum for up to 30 students; ?help supervise student meetings (including weekends and summer programs as scheduled), assist with the ITA summer camps and other program events, provide substitute instruction for other staff as needed. ?Deadline is June 22.

Boys and Girls Club of Dane County hiring 2 TOPS Coordinators:?Teens of Promise (TOPS) is an initiative by the Boys & Girls Club in partnership with Madison School District?s AVID program (AVID/TOPS). Its goal is to have more high school students become first generation college graduates. It includes a college readiness curriculum (AVID elective class), mentoring, tutoring, college field trips, summer job internships, college test preparation and career explorations.

TOPS Coordinators will: manage & administer TOPS program component to meet established standards and ?outcomes; actively participate on the site team for AVID/TOPS program; recruit, interview, train and manage tutors for AVID class and after school; support the oversight and management of tutors in classroom; oversee mentor/mentee relationships & organize mentor/mentee events; match students with summer job internships and train them in Job Ready program; conduct periodic check-ins with students and employers in summer job internship program; research and schedule monthly speakers from the community for the classroom; make arrangements for agreed upon field trips including transportation, meals, schedules, and any admission fees and serve as a chaperone on field trips; and more.

Housing seeks Director of Academic Initiatives:?The Director of Academic Initiatives is responsible for the planning, implementation, evaluation and continuous improvement of all Academic Initiatives throughout University Housing.? Assist with the coordination of processes and initiatives common to our 8-10 Residential Learning Communities that are supported, in part, by the Madison Initiative for Undergraduates.? This position provides leadership for the entire Residence Life Staff and serves as a member of the Residence Life Leadership Team. The Director of Academic Initiatives works in a highly collaborative and team-based Housing operation and reports to the Associate Director of Residence Life ? Academics.

Requirements include minimum of five years of full-time experience in Residence Life, Student Affairs or Student Academic Affairs (graduate assistantships are considered part-time work) required; and successful experience in implementing academic initiatives in a residential setting required.? A successful candidate will possess strong administration, collaboration, supervisory, leadership, interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills and a demonstrated ability to work with diverse students and staff.

Minimum salary is $52,000 per year, plus an additional $1,500 in professional development funds for travel, course work and individual training and development opportunities.
